Our Philosophy
We often take for granted our ability to make choices, sometimes forgetting that choice is only possible if we have options. Indeed, if we never encounter a fork in the road, then we never have an opportunity to choose which path to take.
Choosing the “right” college is perhaps the most important decision graduating high school seniors will ever make in their academic career. However, their ability to choose which college to attend is possible only if they have options from which to make that choice. Today, getting into college has never been harder, and the requirements for admission have never been higher. College applicants are facing the toughest competition in history, and colleges are relying on standardized test scores more than ever to decide which students make the cut. Consequently, achieving a high ACT or SAT score to meet that competition has never been more essential.
Yet for over a decade, the ACT & SAT scores of Lee County have been among the lowest in the country. Our graduating seniors simply cannot compete with the rest of the nation. Far too many of our students do not have the opportunity to choose the college that is “right” for them, and must instead simply accept the decision made by a college that will “have” them.
That’s why we brought College Board Academy to Lee County.
Our Academy is NOT a Weekend Seminar; it is NOT another Test-Prep Study Guide; and it is definitely NOT some Online Course.
